Modify Metal Surfaces – Patinate
Most metal surfaces can be made to look like they have aged prematurely by painting substances onto the metal surface; this can produce a very interesting effect, which can be so much more attractive. Different metals will react differently or not react at all. Brass and copper metals react most dramatically.

Modify Metal Surfaces – Heat and Stitchery
An oblong of copper metal heated with a heat gun for approximately 5 minutes. Cut into four curving shapes. Reassembled with gaps in between. The gaps are backed with soluble paper for stability. Free Motion Machine stitched into the metal and across the paper backing to the opposite metal shape to connect. The void is densely free motion stitched with a variety of weights of thread.
